2nd Sunday of Advent
December 7, 2025
AS WE GATHER
The season of Advent is truly all about the Savior who has come, who comes to us now in Word and Sacrament, and who will come again. Yet the purpose of the coming of the Son of God is with you in mind. The whole point of His coming, from His birth to His ascension, is to see each and every one of God’s children home. Rejoice, this day, at His gracious coming. It is this coming, into our hearts and lives, received by faith, that brings us to Him, and into His story – that story of redemption, life and hope. As He has come, we seek to prepare ourselves in repentant joy to receive Him who humbly yet powerfully still comes to us in Word and Sacrament by His Holy Spirit. As our Advent journey continues, rejoice to be written into that story of His great love!
