AS WE GATHER
The Nativity Story has been told in numerous ways throughout the years. One of those ways is through simple lessons and carols. Here the Word is read, and then, a sermon is delivered in the form of a carol or song. It’s one of the blessings of hymnody; mini-sermons, theological treatises set to music, uniting hearts and voices in proclaiming the blessed truths of Holy Scripture. Today, we continue the Christmas season, in praise of Jesus, the Word made flesh and dwelling among us. (John 1:14) Merry Christmas in His name!
